ABOUT
Mr. Lagdameo is a full time faculty of the Marketing and Law department of the Ateneo de Manila University. He is the director of the Ateneo Business Resource Center and the Ateneo Business Accelerator Program. Alongside this, he partakes in various organizations such as the Management Advisory Board of Ateneo Center for Organizational Development (CORD), the Advisory Board of Ateneo Bulatao Center (ABC), and the Board of Directors of Ateneo Center of Asian Studies (ACAS).

ABOUT
Joshua Uyheng is a PhD student in societal computing at Carnegie Mellon University, where he studies drivers of online conflicts – such as fake news, bots and trolls, echo chambers, and polarization – using machine learning, network science, and agent-based simulation. He is also a research scientist with FASSSTER than COVID-19, the Philippine government’s hub of pandemic intelligence under the Ateneo Center for Computing Competency and Research (ACCCRe). He obtained undergraduate degrees in mathematics and psychology, summa cum laude, from the Ateneo de Manila University. His research has received recognition at the BPI-DOST Science Awards and the Psychological Association of the Philippines – Junior Affiliates. Recent selections from his work may be found in outlets such as Political Psychology, European Journal of Social Psychology, Feminism & Psychology, and Computational and Mathematical Organization Theory.

ABOUT
Christine Okubo is an undergraduate scholar at New York University studying Data Science with a prospective minor in Politics. On campus, she is the Head of the WiTech New York Chapter and a publisher for Sycamore Institute at NYU, a think tank with journal issues focused on US and International security. She is also part of the IT team for NYU's School of Public Service, where she does data and website management work that educates her on the analysis of government policies and the process of creating academic discourse on public service. She graduated from the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) with High Honors and an exemplary performance award for Engineering. While in PSHS, she led various school and community organizations, did research in computing with her peers, and won a few medals from international math competitions in Singapore and India.

Queena Lee-Chua, PhD

ABOUT
Dr. Queena N. Lee-Chua graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University, BS Mathematics, summa cum laude. She also received a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the same university, where she is now (full) Professor. A licensed psychologist, she writes the “All in the Family” column for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and has authored books on math, popular science, education, parenting, family and teen issues, mental health, family businesses, inspirational stories. Queena has garnered various recognition, including the TOYM, the TOWNS, the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Teachers, the DOST’s Great Men and Women of Science, the Outstanding Young Scientists, the National Book Awards, the Carlos Palanca, the Catholic Mass Media Awards. For two years running, she was voted Most Legendary Teacher by Ateneo students themselves.
Week 2 (December 7-12)
ABOUT
Ms. Tagle-Sarte is a Business Intelligence professional and a mom of 2 boys. At her core, she is a Math person who received her degree in Applied Mathematics as a full scholar from the Ateneo De Manila University. She also received her Master in Business Analytics from Singapore Management University as a part-time scholar, while working for a bank's customer center in various capacities. She was exposed early to power of data analysis in her role as Operations Development Manager, where her team predicted demand for bank's various service channels from its 5 million customers. She returned to Philippines in 2017 to lead Business Analytics in classified giant OLX. Eventually she headed the Business Analytics of unicorn start up Carousell. Currently, she's a Senior Manager in Business Intelligence in ecommerce giant Lazada Philippines, where her team provides actionable intelligence to senior management to drive business excellence across the organization.

ABOUT
Ma. Louise Antonette N. De Las Peñas is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Associate Dean for Research and Creative Work, Ateneo De Manila University, Philippines. Her research interests are group theory, discrete geometry, mathematical crystallography and technology in mathematics education.She has published her research extensively in international and national science citation indexed journals, and international conference publications. She is a recipient of several research awards including the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) Achievement Award in the Mathematical Sciences, Philippine Commission on Higher Education Republica National Research Award and a number of her published articles have been given recognition by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) as outstanding papers. Over the years, she has supervised as thesis adviser at least 37 graduate students, in Phd and MS Mathematics, and MS in Teaching Mathematics.

ABOUT
Reinabelle “Reina” Reyes, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Physics (NIP) in UP Diliman. She heads the NIP Data and Computation Research Group which focuses on data-driven astronomy and computational physics topics. She is also the Practice Director for Data Science and Analytics of Z-Lift Solutions and Chief Technical Adviser of the UNDP Pintig Lab.
As a science communicator, she is founder and co-moderator of the Pinoy Scientists platform, host of “Science Says” on Knowledge Channel, and co-host of Radyo Turo Guro Science on DZRJ AM. She also has her own YouTube channel: Dr. Reina Reyes.

ABOUT
Kenneth Isaiah Ibasco Abante organizes collective action for sustainable impact in public finance with the Citizens' Budget Tracker, in public transport with the Move As One Coalition, and in public data with WeSolve. He is a part-time research faculty member at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies in Ateneo de Manila University. His research looks into how civil society can claim democratic spaces in tax reform, customs reform, and public budgeting processes. Serving in the Department of Finance for four and a half years, he worked on reforms in tobacco and alcohol taxation, tax incentives, customs administration, and local finance. He staffed for the national budgets of 2014 to 2017 and co-led the transition process from Secretary Purisima to Secretary Dominguez.
