John Luis D. Lagdameo

 More about the Speaker 

Mr. Lagdameo is a full time faculty of the Marketing and Law department of the Ateneo de Manila University. He graduated from the same university with a bachelor's degree in Management Engineering and earned his master's degree in the Asian Institute of Management. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Leadership Studies, Business Track at the Ateneo. 

 

He is also presently the director of the Ateneo Business Resource Center and the Ateneo Business Accelerator Program. Alongside this, he partakes in various organizations such as the  Management Advisory Board of Ateneo Center for Organizational Development (CORD), the Advisory Board of Ateneo Bulatao Center (ABC), and the Board of Directors of Ateneo Center of Asian Studies (ACAS). Moreover, he is the moderator of the Ateneo Management Association, the home organization for Atenean management undergraduates. Outside Ateneo, he works with Firesprings Consulting Inc. as a partner strategist.

Lagdameo has been involved in companies from the different industries such as Real Estate,  Construction, Plastics Manufacturing, Food Development and Packaging, Printing and Packaging, Social Entrepreneurship, and Enterprise Development.

 Talk Synopsis 

Startup founders use basic mathematical concepts framed within their business models.  These concepts are applied during the build, measure and learn stages of new venture creation. The determination, incubation, assessment, and exploitation of a chosen opportunity are the stages of new venture creation. Application of mathematical concepts are evident in the business models of ventures that conceptually explain profit generation, value chain development and social impact. In this talk, a variety of mathematical themes are implied and applied by potential venture founders.
