The Ateneo Mathematics Society (AMS) is the premier mathematics organization of the Ateneo de Manila University. Established in 1962, AMS prides itself in projects that aim to holistically form our members and positively impact the greater society. In our 58th year, we continue to envision ourselves as a community of math enthusiasts that uses mathematics as a tool in building a culture of service that is grounded on our core competencies—math appreciation, math education, and math excellence.

Vision
This organization envisions itself as a community of math enthusiasts, holistically formed to be men and women for and with others, that uses mathematics as a tool/instrument in building a culture of appreciation, excellence, and service in the Ateneo and in the greater society.
Mission
Ateneo Mathematics Society has the mission to:

Build a community of math enthusiasts, by establishing relationships among members of the organization, the Ateneo community and the greater society;

Become socially involved in addressing the needs and concerns of the community formed;

Promote math appreciation by introducing and engaging different kinds of people in relevant mathematical ideas and concepts; and

Achieve math excellence by: facilitating the sharing of mathematical ideas among math enthusiasts, introducing to and enriching mathematical ideas and concepts of persons who are not mathematically inclined in such a way that they will appreciate and see Mathematics as both useful and fun, and striving to advance mathematical proficiency of persons within the organization and with other groups of similar nature both on and off campus.
